چکیده

Wood-decaying fungi in the phylum Basidiomycota play a significant role global carbon cycle, as they decompose deadwood effectively. Fungi may compete for utilizable substrate and growth space by producing soluble metabolites releasing volatile organic compounds (VOCs). We determined of wood (Scots pine or Norway spruce) on generation hyphal biomass, secreted enzyme activities, decomposition rate, fungal species-species interactions VOC release. studied one brown-rot species ( Fomitopsis pinicola ) two white-rot Phlebia radiata Trichaptum abietinum cultivated individually combinations. Wood quality influences release wood-decaying fungi, with signature differences caused trait (brown rot white rot) interactions. was higher cultures than uncolonized sawdust. Fungal activity, iron reduction, oxalate anion content, oxalic acid production explained from decaying wood. • Species-species accelerate sesquiterpene affects depends Decomposition reduction activities

Identification of volatile organic compounds of some Trichoderma species using static headspace gas chromatography-mass spectrometry

Fungi release wide spectrum of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that belong to several chemical groups with different biochemical origins such as monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, alcohols, aldehydes, aromatic compounds, esters, furans, ketones, sulfur and nitrogen compounds. Trichoderma species are the most studied fungal biocontrol agents and are successfully used as biofungicides and biofertili...

Diversity and Interactions of Wood-Inhabiting Fungi and Beetles after Deadwood Enrichment

Freshly cut beech deadwood was enriched in the canopy and on the ground in three cultural landscapes in Germany (Swabian Alb, Hainich-Dün, Schorfheide-Chorin) in order to analyse the diversity, distribution and interaction of wood-inhabiting fungi and beetles. After two years of wood decay 83 MOTUs (Molecular Operational Taxonomic Units) from 28 wood samples were identified. Flight Interception...

Characteristics Analysis for Volatile Organic Compounds Emission of Wood Furniture

Interior decoration with man-made board is a kind of common porous material, which is solid skeleton and the fluid inside the complex mixture. The establishment of the interior decoration of multiphase multidimensional model of mass transfer of volatile organic compounds released by artificial board, and based on the geometrical characteristic of wood-based panel thickness is thin, the artifici...

Karin Granström Emissions of volatile organic compounds from wood

The central aim of this thesis is to support the efforts to counteract certain environmental problems caused by emissions of volatile organic compounds. The purpose of this work was (1) to develop a method to measure emissions from dryers, (2) to determine the effect of drying medium temperature and end moisture content of the processed material on emissions of monoterpenes and other hydrocarbo...

Volatile organic compounds of Thai honeys produced from several floral sources by different honey bee species

The volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of four monofloral and one multifloral of Thai honeys produced by Apis cerana, Apis dorsata and Apis mellifera were analyzed by headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) followed by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The floral sources were longan, sunflower, coffee, wild flowers (wild) and lychee. Honey originating from longan had more...
